In almost any sport that requires a lot of physical activity, players generally talk a lot, most times taunting each other, sometimes just thinking out loud like everybody else and even talking to themselves. It’s pretty fun when we hear what they have to say. The younger they are, the better it is. Jeremy Rupke is one dad who goes by this logic. He wasn’t sure what to do with his son during hockey practice and in order to get clarity on how he felt during practice, he decided to mic the little boy up. Four-year-old Mason had no inhibitions knowing that the mic was attached to his collar. He let out whatever was on his mind, held nothing back. The boy spoke about the most random things in the world, from how he was tired and wanted to sleep for a while, to talking about McDonald’s, and even a mysterious old paint can. This is why people love the way children think.

Rupke took to Twitter regarding what little Mason had to say. He shared a video of his son playing hockey during practice and the clip was filled with sound bytes of his son muttering to himself throughout. Rupke wrote on the social media site alongside the video: I mic’d up my four-year-old at Timbits Hockey so I could finally understand what the heck he was doing out there. It was… interesting Based on the clip, Mason might just be the most adorable four-year-old that the internet has come across.
