Earlier this week, Officer Marcus Montgomery was responding to a routine call at Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, when something less routine happened. He was called because of an issue with a former employee, and was wrapping up his investigation when one of the employees came in with a small, yawning puppy.
The little pup had just been found in a cardboard box behind the shelter. He was all by himself and crying. As soon as Officer Montgomery saw him, he asked to hold him, and the two became immediately inseparable. He and his girlfriend had actually been looking for another dog, so the timing was perfect.
Once he was home, Officer Montgomery updated their story by showing how Kylo, the now-named puppy, was getting along wonderfully with their other dog, Vader.
He stated that Vader looks at Kylo as a younger sibling to look after and the two take lots of (adorable) naps together. Happy tails to this wonderful family!
